At the end of the trip, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, introduced the visit to the accompanying journalists.

      Against the backdrop of unilateralism and power politics impacting the world, this visit focuses on building a community with a shared future, emphasizing neighborly friendship and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, and has achieved complete success.    

    Domestic and foreign public opinion has paid high attention and reported intensively. It is generally believed that this visit has been full of ups and downs, and has set a new milestone in the history of China's relations with Southeast Asian countries. It highlights China's sincere desire to work together and cooperate with neighboring countries, sends a strong signal that China firmly defends multilateralism and international trade rules, and demonstrates its image as a responsible major country in the turbulent international situation.   China views its surrounding areas with a broad and long-term perspective, demonstrating a true strategic landscape. Globalization has entered the 'Asian moment', and the world's focus is shifting towards Asia, with China being an important engine.

1、 Heart to heart communication, starting from the relationship between China and Vietnam again

        Wang Yi said that China and Vietnam are socialist friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, sharing common ideals, beliefs, and broad strategic interests. The most distinctive feature of Sino Vietnamese relations is shared aspirations and destiny. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam. General Secretary Xi Jinping and the President of the People's Republic of China have made Vietnam their first destination for this year's overseas visits. Comrade Su Lin, who took office as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam last year, also chose China for his first overseas visit. The two parties' general secretaries completed mutual visits within a year, fully reflecting the strategic and high-level nature of China Vietnam relations.
        

        The Vietnamese side regards the reception of this visit as the most important diplomatic agenda of this year. General Secretary Su Lin and President Liang Qiang jointly held a welcome banquet for General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Xi Jinping, with all members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Secretary of the Central Secretariat in attendance. President Liang Qiang and Premier Fan Mingzheng went to the airport to greet and see off. Chen Jinxiu, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Executive Secretary of the Central Secretariat, accompanied the entire event in Vietnam. Wherever General Secretary Xi Jinping went, the flags of the two parties and countries shone brightly, and people from all walks of life lined the streets to welcome him. The atmosphere at the scene was sincere and warm, vividly reflecting the deep friendship between Vietnam and China and the brotherhood between comrades.

        The strategic guidance of the top leaders of both parties and countries is the biggest advantage and most important political guarantee for the development of China Vietnam relations. During the visit, General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Su Lin had a long and in-depth exchange of views on global, strategic, and directional issues, held two small-scale tea parties, and had in-depth communication.   The leaders of both parties and the two countries unanimously confirmed to promote the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two sides to a higher quality and deeper level in accordance with the overall goal of "six updates", accelerate the construction of a strategically significant China Vietnam community with a shared future, and jointly promote the development and growth of the socialist cause in the world's century long changes.

        General Secretary Xi Jinping warmly congratulates the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam, and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South. He emphasizes that China will continue to support Vietnam in pursuing a socialist path that is in line with its national conditions, preparing for and successfully holding the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and continuously creating new prospects for the Party and the country's affairs. General Secretary Su Lin stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping is an outstanding leader of the Chinese people and a great friend of the Vietnamese people. Under the strong leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics has achieved historic achievements. Developing relations with China is Vietnam's objective requirement, strategic choice and top priority. Promoting the continuous development of Vietnam China relations is in the fundamental interests of the two peoples and in line with the trend of the times. Vietnam is determined to firmly promote the construction of a strategically significant Vietnam China community with a shared future, and create a prosperous future for both countries.

        The two sides issued a joint statement and signed 45 cooperation documents during this visit, effectively promoting the upgrading of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries and accelerating the alignment of development strategies. The expansion and upgrading of railway cooperation highlights the determination of both countries to seek common development. General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Su Lin jointly attended the launching ceremony of the China Vietnam Railway Cooperation Mechanism. Relying on this mechanism, the two sides will achieve full connectivity of standard gauge railways, greatly improve cross-border transport capacity, reduce logistics costs, enable the two countries' supply chains to "seamlessly connect", further open up new land and sea channels in the west, give China Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor a stronger development momentum, and will become a landmark project for China and Vietnam to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality.

        This year is also the 'China Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year'. General Secretary Xi Jinping and Vietnamese leaders jointly met with representatives of the China Vietnam People's Congress, pointing out that the foundation of China Vietnam relations lies in the people, the bloodline lies in the people, and the strength lies in the people. They encouraged Chinese and Vietnamese youth to contribute their youthful strength to the socialist cause of the two countries and the construction of the China Vietnam community with a shared future. Representatives from all walks of life in both countries warmly responded to General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech, and the tide of applause lasted for a long time. General Secretary Xi Jinping announced that China will invite Vietnamese youth to China for a "Red Study Tour" in the next three years, using the common red genes between China and Vietnam to build a friendly relationship between the younger generations of the two countries, ensuring that there are successors to the red cause and that the red friendship is passed down from generation to generation.

        Wang Yi stated that as two socialist countries in the world where the Communist Party has long been in power and achieved great success, building a China Vietnam community with a shared future is of great international significance. The joint modernization of over 1.5 billion people in China and Vietnam will provide useful reference for developing countries and emerging economies to achieve modernization. In the face of a chaotic world, the peaceful development of the two socialist countries of China and Vietnam has brought valuable stability, and the friendly cooperation between China and Vietnam has demonstrated abundant initiative. Standing at a new historical starting point, China and Vietnam will work together in the direction indicated by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, making new contributions to the world socialist cause and human development and progress.

2、 Treat each other with sincerity, and further improve the quality of China Malaysia relations

        Wang Yi stated that China and Malaysia are friendly neighbors facing each other across the sea, and the traditional friendship between China and Malaysia spans thousands of years and is constantly changing. Malaysia is the earliest ASEAN country to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries has always been at the forefront of the region. The vivid portrayal of China Malaysia relations is the similarity of ideas, integration of interests, and cultural exchange.
This visit is President Xi Jinping's second state visit to Malaysia after 12 years, and the Malaysian side has carefully prepared and warmly received it.  

        The most important achievement of this visit is that the leaders of the two countries have elevated the positioning of China Malaysia relations to a new height and announced the construction of a high-level strategic China Malaysia community with a shared future. This is another leap in the positioning of bilateral relations after China and Malaysia announced the establishment of a community with a shared future in 2023. In the past two years, China Malaysia cooperation has significantly accelerated. Last year, the bilateral trade volume exceeded 210 billion US dollars, and there were nearly 6 million personnel exchanges. The construction of a community with a shared future has been effective, and the improvement of the positioning of the relationship has come naturally. Ibrahim, the highest head of state, stated that no matter how the international situation changes, Malaysia will work hand in hand with China to achieve win-win cooperation and promote the construction of a high-level strategic community with a shared future. Prime Minister Anwar emphasized that only by working together with China can stable and far-reaching progress be achieved, and Malaysia will always be a steadfast and principled friend of China. The friendship between Malaysia and China lasts forever, as deep as the sea and as enduring as the stars, always full of vitality and hope.

        A major highlight of this visit is that both sides have agreed to jointly create a highland for regional high-quality productivity cooperation, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as digital economy, green economy, and artificial intelligence, strengthening the integrated development of industrial chain, supply chain, value chain, data chain, and talent chain, jointly building a joint laboratory for emerging technologies, setting a benchmark for high-quality development in the region, and assisting each other's modernization process. The leaders of the two countries agreed to deepen the docking of development strategies, promote the flagship projects of the "the Belt and Road" such as the East Coast Railway and the "Two Countries, Two Parks", and build an important port in Malaysia into an important hub of the "new land and sea channel". The two sides signed 26 cooperation documents and achieved record fruitful results.

         In order to implement the Global Civilization Initiative, China and Malaysia have agreed to carry out the "Confucian Iranian Civilization Dialogue", promote mutual learning and reference between Confucian civilization and Islamic civilization, and promote the progress of human civilization.
Malaysia is the rotating chair of ASEAN and the coordinator of China ASEAN relations this year, and the leaders of the two countries exchanged in-depth views on regional cooperation. President Xi Jinping emphasized China's firm support for ASEAN unity and community building, its central position, and willingness to work with regional countries to sign the upgraded version of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area Protocol as soon as possible. The Malaysian side highly appreciates China's role in regional cooperation and stated that it will play its role as the chair country to promote greater development of ASEAN China relations and jointly build a peaceful and prosperous future. Foreign media generally believe that China ASEAN cooperation is the most pragmatic and fruitful in regional cooperation, a model of adhering to multilateralism and open cooperation, and an important pillar of sustainable economic growth in the Asia Pacific region.

        Wang Yi stated that, as Prime Minister Anwar stated in his welcome banquet speech, history is not hastily written, and establishing a true partnership is not an overnight effort. It requires accumulation, careful care, courage, and determination to move forward. Last year, China and Malaysia jointly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The visit of the leaders of the two countries has effectively promoted the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Malaysia towards a high-level strategic direction. The friendly cooperation between China and Malaysia has entered the fast lane and will be upgraded under the guidance of common goals, ushering in the next more glorious "golden 50 years".

3、 Mutual affection leads to further escalation of China Cambodia relations
        Wang Yi stated that the friendship between China and Cambodia is a two-way journey spanning thousands of years. In history, Chinese civilization and Khmer civilization have been inclusive, mutually learning, and shining together. Cambodia is the first country to sign an action plan with China to build a community of shared future.  

      This is the first time in 20 years since King Sihamoni ascended the throne that he has gone to the airport to welcome foreign dignitaries, and the first welcoming ceremony has been held at the airport, with unprecedented protocol arrangements.   

      King Sihamoni presented President Xi Jinping with the "Grand Necklace level Medal for National Independence of the Kingdom of Cambodia", stating that President Xi Jinping has made outstanding contributions to promoting the development of Cambodia China relations and is a great friend of Cambodia.   President Xi Jinping recalled the touching history of the older generation leaders of the two countries forging and cultivating friendship between China and Cambodia, highly praised the special contributions made by the Cambodian royal family to the cause of China Cambodia friendship, and stated that China is the second home of the King and Queen Mother, and welcomes visits to China at any time. King Sihamoni and Queen Dowager Monile expressed that President Xi Jinping's visit is a great honor for all Cambodian people and will push the bilateral relations to a new level. The strong friendship between Cambodia and China will become even deeper and more unbreakable.

        This is the first time that China has elevated its bilateral relations with Southeast Asian countries to an all-weather level, and also the first new era all-weather community of shared destiny constructed at the bilateral level. The two sides agreed to build a higher level of political mutual trust, expand higher quality mutually beneficial cooperation, build a higher level of security, carry out more frequent people to people and cultural exchanges, implement higher standards of strategic cooperation, vigorously promote high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road", constantly fill the "diamond six sided" cooperation framework between China and Cambodia, and set an example for building a community with a shared future for mankind.

        The construction of the Funan Dezuo comprehensive water conservancy project is Cambodia's century old dream, which is related to the country's economy, people's livelihood, and long-term development. China fully understands Cambodia's concerns and provides necessary support, reflecting the firm willingness of the two countries to rely on each other strategically. China has also formulated two cooperation plans, the "Industrial Development Corridor" and the "Fish and Rice Corridor", based on Cambodia's needs, to help Cambodia build a modern industrial production highland and enhance the level of agricultural technology and industrialization. The two sides signed 37 cooperation documents, covering areas such as supply chain cooperation, artificial intelligence, development assistance, customs inspection and quarantine, and health, which not only help Cambodia enhance its independent development capabilities, but also widely benefit ordinary people. The Cambodian leader expressed gratitude to China for its strong support for Cambodia's economic development and maintenance of independence and self-reliance. China is Cambodia's strongest supporter and most reliable partner, and looks forward to deepening cooperation in various fields with China to further promote the construction of a community with a shared future for both countries.

        Cambodian media comments believe that this visit reflects the high quality of bilateral relations and strongly refutes the so-called "cooling of Cambodia China relations" theory. China's mark can be seen everywhere on Cambodia's development path, especially the rapid growth in the past decade, which cannot be separated from China's strong support. China replaces interference with cooperation and domination with aid, winning widespread respect and trust.

      Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, both sides will solidly promote the construction of a community with a shared future, making China Cambodia friendship as iron, unity as steel, and cooperation shine like diamonds.

4、 Unity and cooperation, upholding fairness, justice, and the righteous path of humanity
        

        Wang Yi said that an important background of this visit is the increasing turbulence and frequent chaos in the international situation. The United States arbitrarily imposes tariffs, disregards international rules, and promotes individualism. Southeast Asian countries are at the forefront, concerned about the global economic outlook and unwilling to see the law of the jungle return. At this critical moment, the world yearns for stability and a sense of direction, and neighboring countries expect China to demonstrate leadership and provide certainty.
President Xi Jinping pointed out that the sea of economic globalization benefits all countries, and no country can return to a closed island. A small boat with a solitary canopy cannot withstand rough waves, but only by working together can we achieve stability and success. Engaging in a trade war undermines the international trading system, impacts global economic stability, and harms the legitimate interests of countries around the world, especially developing countries. As an important force in the global South, China and its neighboring countries need to strengthen coordination and cooperation, jointly resist the undercurrent of factional confrontation, jointly oppose unilateralism, respond to the law of the jungle of the jungle of the jungle with peaceful, cooperative, open, and inclusive Asian values, and safeguard the beautiful development prospects of our Asian homeland.

      China will promote high-quality development, expand high-level opening up to the outside world, and share development opportunities with other countries, especially neighboring countries. China's super large market has always been open to neighboring countries and welcomes more high-quality products from ASEAN countries to be exported to China. China's door to opening up to the outside world will only continue to widen.

    Wang Yi said that despite the strong winds from east, west, north, and south, the chaotic clouds still fly calmly. In the face of unilateral bullying, China's choice and responsibility are not only to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, but also to protect the common interests of the international community, including small and medium-sized countries, and to defend international fairness and justice.   General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Su Lin, stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping's visit has enhanced Vietnam's confidence in overcoming risks and challenges and advancing the socialist cause. He is willing to strengthen coordination with China, uphold international trade rules, and abide by the agreements signed by both sides. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar stated that what truly reflects China's strength is its resilience in calmly dealing with various interferences. China is a rational, powerful, and reliable partner, bringing not only stability but also hope for a lasting future. ASEAN does not support any unilateral imposition of tariffs and will unite to strengthen itself and maintain economic growth. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Ma Nai stated that China has played a leading role in the situation where unilateralism has caused turbulence in the world and the multilateral trading system has been impacted. Cambodia is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China to safeguard the common interests of both sides.

    According to international public opinion, China advocates free trade, emphasizes mutual respect, has a highly stable foreign policy, and cooperates with all parties based on mutual benefit and friendship rather than transactional logic. It has become a powerful support and reliable partner for Southeast Asian economic growth. China's image as a free trade advocate, defender of the interests of developing countries, and leader of regional cooperation has become more deeply ingrained in people's hearts. In the current global turbulence, China has shown the world through its actions that it is a partner that can be relied upon and work together to create prosperity. In the game of world leadership, China has become an undisputed positive player.

5、 Sincerity, benevolence, and inclusiveness, a new chapter in the community of shared destiny around us

        Wang Yi said that how major powers interact with their neighbors is an important topic in     international relations, reflecting their worldview, order, and values.   China actively engages in all-round cooperation with neighboring countries, strengthens exchanges in various fields, and jointly maintains peace and stability, forging a bright path of neighborly friendship and win-win cooperation.
          Under the guidance of the head of state's diplomacy, respecting each other's development paths, supporting each other's core interests, and providing strategic support to each other have become distinct features of China's relations with neighboring countries.       China's strategic mutual trust with neighboring countries has been further enhanced.
  China has signed cooperation agreements with 25 neighboring countries to jointly build the "the Belt and Road", and is the largest trading partner of 18 countries. The alignment of development strategies, the upgrading of connectivity, and the mutual benefit of trade and investment have continuously deepened China's integration and development with neighboring countries. During this visit, the construction of the China Vietnam Honghe Border River Bridge began, Vietnam introduced the COMAC C909 aircraft, a Malaysian telecommunications operator signed a 5G construction cooperation agreement with a Chinese company, and China Cambodia signed an agreement to strengthen production and supply chain cooperation. The mutually beneficial cooperation between China and its neighboring countries is constantly expanding, forming a closer pattern of coexistence and coordinated development.

        The Asian security concept advocated by China, which advocates for sharing security and safety, seeking common ground while reserving differences, and dialogue and consultation, has increasingly become a consensus among regional countries. During this visit, China and Vietnam upgraded the "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism for diplomacy, defense, and public security to ministerial level. China, Malaysia, and Cambodia respectively established a "2+2" dialogue mechanism for diplomacy and defense, as well as a "2+2" strategic dialogue mechanism for foreign ministers and defense ministers. China and Cambodia will rely on the newly completed Yunrang Port Joint Support and Training Center to promote the upgrading of the "Golden Dragon" joint performance and training, and enhance the ability to maintain regional peace and tranquility. China, Vietnam, and Malaysia unanimously agreed to handle maritime issues properly, oppose external interference, and work together to maintain regional peace and stability. China has the willingness, confidence, and ability to work with neighboring countries to safeguard our common home.

    Wang Yi concluded by stating that the Central Conference on Neighborhood Work pointed out the need to hold high the banner of a community with a shared future for mankind, with the common vision of building the "Five Great Homes" of peace, tranquility, prosperity, beauty, and friendship, and the principles of good neighborliness, security, prosperity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and shared destiny. We should work together with neighboring countries to create a better future.   Righteousness is for profit, virtue is for neighbors.
